GREAT BOOKS - SITES and INSPIRATION!
Conversations With God - Book 1, Book 2, Book 3
I've learned more from these books than any other I've read. No matter what your religious beliefs are I highly recommend reading them. Even if you are an agnostic or atheist you have to admit that the ideas presented here just plain make sense.
"Make a choice. Believe in that choice and your belief will be created by your thoughts on that choice."
"My truth is always my truth regardless of what my truth was 2 minutes ago."
"Until you can create your future you cannot predict your future."
"Act out your knowingness in every moment. Keep acting on what you know, rather than what the world of illusion is showing you. Stay with it, no matter how deceiving appearances are."
"Public declaration is the highest form of visioning. Live the grandest version of the greatest vision you ever had about Who You Are. Begin the living of it by declaring it. Publicly. The first step in making it so is saying it is so."
"Your own life is the way it is b\because of you, and the choice you have made - or failed to make."
"Nothing exists in this world that did not exist as pure thought."
"Be the cause of your experience, not the effect of it."
"Life is a creation, not a discovery."
"We make real that to which we pay attention."
"God only asks that you include yourself among those you love."
"For most of your life you've lived at the effect of your experiences. Now, you're invited to be the cause of them. That is what is known as conscious living. That is what is called walking in awareness."
"Thought knows no distance. Thought travels around the world and traverses the universe faster than you can say the word."
Spirit Of Apollo - Sidney Newton Bremer, Ph.D.
This is the first book that started me on the journey to where I am today. Even though it took 15 years from when I received it until I actually read it - it made me think about the potential I knew I had inside. By reading and learning about the others before me who did what they did to make it to where they did gave me the confidence to do it for myself. Thanks dad!
"Nothing and no one but yourself can prevent you from attaining your ambition."
"What one man can do, or has done, reveals an open door that all others may enter."
"We've not only got to believe, we've got to expect to such an extent that we can already see ourselves in possession of the desired result."
This was the first "self help" book I read and actually finished. It awoke me to the "Unlimited Power" we all have within ourselves and how we can use it to become the person we really want to be. One of the "processes" I learned helped me to quit the habit I had my whole life of biting my nails. It worked so well that I, to this day, still haven't do it - and that was back in 1985! Just one of those wins for me!
"In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently."
"One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular. "
The one thing I love most about Richard Branson is that he seems to make every challenge he takes on fun and enjoyable. In this way you never feel like what you are doing is work. He has a passion for what he does. This is a characteristic I find in many I have learned from. I do admit that I don't follow that rule all the time but when I do it makes the process so much more fun!
"It was a bold move but even then I knew that it is only by being bold that you get anywhere."
"My parents had always drilled into me that the best motto to follow is Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
Love him or hate him you have to respect his drive, his ability and the passion he has to achieve! I admire how when he sets his mind to something he knows that there is nothing that will stop him from achieving his goal.
"People with passion never give up because they'll never have a reason to give up, no matter what their circumstances may be."
"You should be attentive to the details, no matter what the scale of your project."
"I learned a long time ago that my productivity was increased by a large percentage simply by learning to let go of negativity in all forms as quickly as I could."
"Comparing ourselves to others is a waste of time. Don't let anyone else be your yardstick. That's taking power away from yourself in a big way."
"If a leader never steps out of his comfort zone to hear different ideas, he grows stale."
"My father taught me that striving for excellence was my ticket to the American dream"
"I think we need to be reminded every once in a while of who we are, and that what kind of nation we've promised to be. Not a nation that builds walls, but a nation that lifts a lamp to lead the way."
The place where I first put into action my ideas of spirituality and learned the importance of meditation.
Again ...a lot of the same information I've read in other texts. The more I read and re-read it I understand things a little bit better\each time.
